The Credit Union Schools Quiz is back again for 2026!
We’re delighted to announce that First Choice Credit Union will be holding the Credit Union Schools Quiz once again in St. Mary’s Hall, ATU Mayo Campus, Castlebar, Co. Mayo.
This year’s quiz will take place over one day, Saturday 7th February 2026. Due to the number of entries, space etc. the U11 A Competition & U13 B Competition will take place at separate times on Saturday 7th. Of course, we will have two sets of questions for the different competitions.
- Competition A Under 11 will take place on Saturday 7th February 2026 at 11am in St. Mary’s Hall, ATU Mayo Campus, Castlebar, Co. Mayo.
- Competition B Under 13 will take place on Saturday 7th February 2026 at 2pm in St. Mary’s Hall, ATU Mayo Campus, Castlebar, Co. Mayo.
As always, there are two Categories – please take careful note of the age requirements below:
| Comp A: | Under 11 – for entrants aged 10 or younger on 31st December 2025 (Rounds 1 to 10) |
| Comp B: | Under 13 – for entrants aged 12 or younger on 31st December 2025 (Rounds 1 to 12 – two extra rounds) |
| Comp A: | Under 11 – for entrants aged 10 or younger on 31st December 2025 (Rounds 1 to 10) |
| Comp B: | Under 13 – for entrants aged 12 or younger on 31st December 2025 (Rounds 1 to 12 – two extra rounds) |
The above application forms available for download, must be fully completed and returned to First Choice Credit Union on or before Friday 23rd January 2026.
We have attached a specific application form for Competition A Under 11 and Competition B Under 13. Completed application forms can be emailed to youthandeducation@fccu.ie or printed and posted to the: Youth & Education Committee, First Choice Credit Union, Castlebar, Co. Mayo. Alternatively, they can be dropped in to your local First Choice Credit Union branch.
Please note qualifying date of births on the attached application form and above. Additionally, all rules can be found on the last page of the attached entry form. Due to the number of schools involved, each school entering can enter 2 teams made up of 1 team from each category or 2 teams from the same age category.
