The 10th April 2024 marked a momentous occasion for First Choice Credit Union Ltd and Kiltimagh District Credit Union Ltd with the completion of the Transfer of Engagements of Kiltimagh District Credit Union Ltd to First Choice Credit Union Ltd to become one entity. The merger creates a Credit Union with over €260 million in assets and over 40,000 members, making it one of the largest Credit Unions in the West of Ireland. Operating under the name of First Choice Credit Union Ltd. the enlarged credit union now has six branches across County Mayo, located in Achill, Balla, Ballyhaunis, Castlebar, Kiltimagh & Swinford.
This latest Transfer of Engagements is further evidence of cooperation among Credit Unions for the benefit of all members and the local communities in which they operate. The Credit Union’s priority is to ensure that the needs of all members continue to be met, now and into the future. The Credit Union facilitates 24/7 accessibility and is committed to continuous development and enhancement of services for the benefit of all its members.
