Please be advised that on Sunday March 17th 2024, the European SEPA Schemes will undergo a mandatory update. Irish banks and Credit Unions who participate in the schemes may experience delays in SEPA payment processing (Euro payments across Ireland & the EU) over the weekend of March 15th to 17th.
The advice for members therefore is to ‘pay early’.
For Euro payments to reach the intended account between 15 – 17 March, payments should be made on or before Thursday 14 March to ensure that the beneficiary account is credited latest Friday and so to avoid any potential delays.
It is recommended that members check what payments they have planned for this time and for them to effect payments on or before Thursday 14th of March to ensure that funds are received on time.
