The Credit Union Schools Quiz is back for 2025!
We’re delighted to announce that First Choice Credit Union will be holding the Credit Union Schools Quiz once again in St. Mary’s Hall, ATU Mayo Campus, Castlebar, Co. Mayo. We have already emailed all schools throughout our common bond but all related information can be found below.
CHANGE TO USUAL FORMAT: This year the quiz will be held over two days in February 2025.
The quiz has grown significantly over the last number of years with over 600 attendees last year alone, and we are limited in terms of the space on site, parking etc. Additionally, having the quiz over two days will also provide more a more comfortable and suitable environment for the pupils participating. With that in mind, please see the following:
- Competition A Under 11 will take place on Friday 7th February 2025 at 7pm in St. Mary’s Hall, ATU Mayo Campus, Castlebar, Co. Mayo.
- Competition B Under 13 will take place on Saturday 8th February 2025 at 2pm in St. Mary’s Hall, ATU Mayo Campus, Castlebar, Co. Mayo.
As always, there are two Categories – please take careful note of the age requirements below:
| Comp A: | Under 11 – for entrants aged 10 or younger on 31st December 2024 (Rounds 1 to 10) |
| Comp B: | Under 13 – for entrants aged 12 or younger on 31st December 2024 (Rounds 1 to 12 – two extra rounds) |
Application forms available for download above, must be fully completed and returned to First Choice Credit Union on or before Monday 20th January 2025. Available is a specific application form for Competition A Under 11 and Competition B Under 13. Completed application forms can be emailed to youthandeducation@fccu.ie or printed and posted to the: Youth & Education Committee, First Choice Credit Union, Castlebar, Co. Mayo. Alternatively, they can be dropped in to your local First Choice Credit Union branch.
Please note qualifying date of births – above and on the application forms. Additionally, all rules can be found on the last page of the entry forms available above. Due to the number of schools involved, each school entering can enter 2 teams made up of 1 team from each category or 2 teams from the same age category.
