Take advantage of SEAI grant funding towards the cost of energy upgrades
We all want to feel that little bit cosier in our homes and enjoy the comfort that home brings. With energy efficiencies and sustainable energy a hot topic in national news, now is the ideal time to take advantage of the wide variety of grants available to homeowners through the SEAI (Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland).
SEAI Grants
You can choose from a selection of available Home Energy Grants, for purposes including everything from heating system and control upgrades to wall and attic insulations. The full range of grants available can be found by clicking the following link: https://www.seai.ie/grants/home-energy-grants
For example, did you know that your home can lose over 30% of its heat through poorly insulated walls. Grants are available for upgrading home insulation, including cavity, internal and external wall insulation, along with attic insulation.
Who is eligible?
Insulation and Heat Control grants – available to all homeowners of dwellings built and occupied before 2006.
Heat Pump Systems and Solar Thermal Grants – available to all homeowners of dwellings built and occupied before 2011.
How to apply?
You can apply for the home energy grant online or by post. Alternatively, if you don’t have the time, one of the SEAI’s registered Energy Partners can apply on your behalf. More information can be found here: https://www.seai.ie/grants/home-energy-grants/how-to-apply/
